Republican Representative Maureen Walsh spoke from her heart about marriage equality during the debate in Washington. Her words are so touching and real.
She also brings attention to the elephant in the room, the fact that when discussing homosexuals, a good percentage of heterosexuals’ minds go straight to the bed room. Walsh says, “I don’t miss the sex, you know? And to me that’s kinda what this boils down to. I don’t miss that, I mean I certainly miss it. It is certainly not the aspect of that relationship, that incredible bond I had with that human being, that I really really genuinely wish I still had. I think to myself, how can I deny anyone the right to have that incredible bond with another individual in life, to me it seems almost cruel.”
