Howard Brown CEO Jamal M. Edwards announced resignation

Howard Brown CEP Jamal M. Edwards announced resignation

Howard Brown is a Chicago staple that offers medical services and research focused on the LGBTQA community. Jamal Edwards has been the CEO since 2010 and today he announced his resignation. Chicago’s Windy City Times has often shed light on some the poor decision making and mishaps that Edwards has made during his tenure. In response Edwards banned WCT newspapers from Howard Brown Medical Centers, and allegedly refuses WCT media request for years . Recently Time Out Chicago also went to bat with Edwards, citing the staff’s morale, financial issues and lack of transparency. Karma Israelsen has been named the new CEO. Please follow this link to more information and more detailed history of this long disheartening process.
