SUBJECT TO CHANGE PRESENTS: HOCUS POCUS 2 OCT. 24
A Queer Dance Party Benefiting About Face Theatre At The Burlington
Leaves are changing color, there is a chill in the air, which must mean…Halloween is right around the corner! Join Subject to Change for their inaugural Halloween party, Hocus Pocus The Sequel, at The Burlington (3425 W. Fullerton) on Wednesday, October 24th at 9PM.
A $5 suggested donation will benefit About Face Theatre, but no one will be turned away due to lack of funds. The evening will be hosted by Velveeta Fitzgerald with spooky jams brought to you by DJs Josie Bush, Miss Summer Clearance and Panakin Skywalker. Photos by IAMKIAM Photography.
A costume contest with special guest judges (to be announced!) will take place around the witching hour. Prizes will be awarded to the “Most Original,” “Scariest” and “Best Overall” costumes.
Subject to Change will also be accepting zine submissions on the topic of costumes. What do you love most about dressing up? Do you dress up more than once a year? How can a costume transform how you feel? Interact with others? Please send all submissions to firstname.lastname@example.org by Sunday, October 21st.
Upcoming monthly Subject to Change parties this year will be held in late November and December at The Burlington, 3425 W. Fullerton. Dates, themes, guest hosts and benefit organizations will be announced at a later date.
