Nicole Garneau presents a Winter Solstice ritual performance as a culmination to the 5-year (2008-2012) UPRISING project. UPRISINGs are monthly, site-specific performance works broadly exploring practices of revolution. UPRISING performances create public demonstrations of the possibilities for a more loving, just and humane present and future. They are attempts at making the world in which we want to live, and then inviting people directly and immediately inside it. In 5 years, 60 UPRISING performances have been completed and Nicole is now in the process of raising money to make an UPRISING book.

We are BIG fans of Nicole and so thankful to have her coming home for the holiday! Please check out her event on Dec 21st, and also help support her UPRISING book, so we can make it a reality!

Now that the 5 years are over: an UPRISING Book!

“So here’s the deal. I’m trying to raise a good amount of money to produce a book about UPRISING, and I’m doing it through this USA Projects site. I feel excited about making an UPRISING book! And you should too, since lots of folks we know will be IN IT.
