Northern Lights Presents: Deja K. Taylor Performance and Video Release Party
On Saturday March 30, Northern Lights presents an exclusive video release of Deja K. Taylor’s single, SUPERBAD, directed by Big Dipper (Daniel Stermer) and produced by Deja K. Taylor and Paula Gilovich.
eI’m thrilled to be debuting my new single, SUPERBAD,” said Chicago-native Deja K. Taylor. “And I’m SUPER-thrilled to finally be sharing this visual piece with the world! – I had a brilliant team & we put in so much work! All the energy and love continues to be epic & exciting so stay tuned and don’t miss it!”
Northern Lights is a monthly performance and dance party happening the last Saturday of the month at Parlour on Clark, 6431 N. Clark St, hosted by Andy Siharath and featuring the Northern Lights Go-Go Gothic Dancers. Along with DJ Erik Roldan, this edition of Northern Lights will also include live performances by Deja K. Taylor, Roy Kinsey and Shea Coulee.
Deja K. Taylor is a Superbad poet with an MC’s touch and is based in Chicago. She’s a defiance of gravity, with a knack for laughing; a Mother’s passion & a Diva’s fashion. In many ways she is your typical dancing, painting, poet-ing, hip-hopping, musical and theater-focused, teaching artist from Planet Funk.
Roy Kinsey, aka RoyAL, has been apart of the G.O.O.D Music: Flight School Showcase. RoyAL released his first album “Keep The Receipt in the Fall” of 2010 and is set to release his third album, which is Untitled, Summer 2013.
Shea Coulee is an International performance sensation and the ultimate androgynous wet dream. Inspired by the divas of yesteryear, Shea’s sky-high gams have been seen in Chicago at Berlin Nightclub, Roscoe’s, Beauty Bar, and Parlour on Clark.
